Crysis Warhead is a sequel of sorts to the original PC-killer Crysis - but not necessarily directly. It's more of a side story to the original, following "Psycho" as he traverses the other side of the island from the original.
The mission that I had a chance to see at EA's booth was called "Shore Leave". Psycho had just rescued a downed pilot and was now escorting the pilot's jeep with his light armored vehicle as he was attacked by North Korean troops.
Yes, they were using an escort mission as a demo. How many people really LIKe escort missions?
The graphics and physics were quite nice in the demo. One touch that I enjoyed a lot were the jets as they overflew you - the wake from the engines looked really good. Then again, most everything looked pretty in the demo.
The AI's been upgraded in Crysis Warhead as well. The bad guys will work together more. Thus, you'll be forced to be even more strategic in how you fight. You will be able to take the fight to the enemy in different ways, from a traditional "stealth or guns blazing" logic to taking advantage of the environment by doing things such as releasing logs to roll down the path the enemy uses.
