Mentor Interactive is a small publisher looking to make its mark on the learning games part of the gaming industry. So far it seems to be doing very well. Most of the titles, such as My Virtual Tutor, are all built for the DS platform, which is good for parents actually concerned with what their child is playing.
I didn’t get to demo anything at the booth, which was a shame. However, I did get to see what they had coming out soon. Most of which is building more on their model to make gaming more educational and fun for kids. Thinksmart: Family, a Wii title, offers some nice multiplayer for everyone in the house. This game has a feature that allows everyone to play the same minigame while still being able to individually adjust the difficulty per person. What this means is Dad can play at a much harder setting that Junior can, which in my opinion is a very, very nice touch.
All in all, Mentor Interactive seems to be hitting its stride with bringing fun and education together in a nice blend for the DS and Wii. If you are a parent who wants more out of the games their kid plays, I recommend any game Mentor Interactive has out on the market.
