Doodle Control puts you in the role of an air traffic controller by allowing you to draw lines on the map, thus guiding various types of aircraft to a level specific airport. Although the above-mentioned summary makes the game sound very simple, that is its strong point. Doodle Control is very entertaining, intuitive to play and overall addictively challenging.

As one progresses in their air traffic control levels, they can unlock various achievements. The overall gameplay consists of touching the screen and dragging a safe path from an aircraft to the landing strip. The only exceptions are helicopters that must land on helicopter pads. As the number of aircraft increases in the vicinity of the airport, it becomes increasingly challenging creating safe routes. 605930_20110614_640screen003

Besides its air traffic control gameplay, Doodle Control also features purchasable aircraft. As the player assists with landing planes and helicopters, they acquire cash, which they can use to buy new aircraft that can be assisted in landing for the purpose of generating more cash.

Graphically, Doodle Control looks cartoonish, and that fits well with the overall game design. The sound effects could use some work by beefing up the quality and the sheer number of them. The music is satisfactory and is not intrusive. The controls in the game could be a bit more precise, but then again, this is just a minor suggestion.

Overall, Doodle Control with its path-drawing gameplay is a must have as it is guaranteed to offer many hours of good gaming.

I have been addicted to gaming since I played Pong for the first time when I was six years old. In the meantime, I have played thousands of games (all possible genres) on various systems from Atari 7800 and ZX Spectrum to Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga 500, PCs (Intel 8086 to the latest Intel and AMD chipsets), all Nintendo systems, all Sony Playstation systems, all Sega systems and finally Microsoft's XBox. Aside from gaming, I love to read (sci-fi, military history, politics, mysteries, puzzles...) and love to play chess which I do on a daily basis...
