For anyone that has spent countless hours playing Microsoft Window’s Mine Sweeper, I am happy to announce that there is an even better version for the iPhone/iPad world. It is called Mine Sweeper II, and it will blow you away.

The game offers a very nicely designed game board with amazing special effects. The game features standard Mine Sweeper rules, but what makes this game rise above the rest is the ability to challenge friends via email and/or Facebook. One can also record their high score online, which instills the global completive spirit. Mzl

Mine Sweeper II is cleverly designed using a randomness generator, so every single game is unique. The game’s controls are very simple allowing Mine Sweeper II to be played with one hand. Simply tap on a square to reveal a part of the grid, or tap and hold to flag or remove a flag from an area on the grid. You can further move the grid around by using multi touch gestures.

Overall, Mine Sweeper II is a keeper, and at 99 cents, it is a fantastic deal.

Aside from gaming, I love to read (sci-fi, military history, politics, mysteries, puzzles...) and love to play chess which I do on a daily basis...
