I'm a gamer from way back, I've gone from playing on my Atari 2600 or Commodore 64 to adventuring away on my relatively modern PC, Xbox, or PS2. I've played a pretty eclectic assortment over the years, and frequented my share of arcades (even worked in one) when I was younger, now I mainly do my gaming at home.
Favorite Saying: "They call me a masterless man. They are wrong...I am my own master." (Dairya, fictional Ronin character from the Legend of Five Rings)
Gender: Male
Favorite Game Genres: RPG (and its offshoots, the Action-RPG and the Strategy-RPG), Some Action/Adventure (Devil May Cry type of stuff), fighting games, and the occasional FPS/Shooter. I also play some stuff that doesn't fit too neatly into categories, such as Chaos League (a blend of fantasy combat, american football, and RTS games), or the
Outlaw Series of games (arcadeish, unrealistic sports with fictional characters rather than overpaid licensed athletes).
All MMOs Ever Played: Ultima Online (very briefly), Everquest I & II, EQ Online Adventures, Asheron's Call, Anarchy Online, Underlight (also briefly), Dark Age of Camelot, City of Heroes, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, and I think that's everything. They don't hold my
Favorite Profession/Class: I tend to go for the fighting/mystical hybrids if available, or Fighter/Rogue type of characters. I tend towards the physical side, but like to work in something weird or magical about the character.
Why MMOs Are My Game of Choice: They're not, really, I just keep coming back hoping they'll finally do it right. I've always had high hopes for the genre, but keep getting frustrated or disappointed by them.
