In 1999, the asteroid Ulysses broke up into numerous meteoroids which impacted Earth. One nation, the Republic of Emmeria, sustained little damage from the meteors and was able to rebuild. The other, the Republic of Estovakia, experienced economic meltdown and eventually lapsed into civil war. As a result of this natural catastrophe, these two once-proud nations comprising the Anean continent began to march to the beat of very different drums.
Fast forward to the year 2015. Estovakia is now reunited under military rule. At first it seemed peace had returned to the continent. But one fateful day, a massive formation of Estovakian warplanes appears over the skies of Gracemeria, the flourishing capital of peaceful Emmeria, The Emmerian Air Force scrambles to mount a defensive action, including the fighter squadron "Garuda Team," tasked to defend the airspace over Gracemeria.
With superior numbers and military power, the Emmerian Air Force is all set to hold off the Estovakian surprise attack. However, a mysterious midair explosion disgorges a blood-red fighter plane which quickly turns the tide of the battle...
