In the year 2028, a massive meteor impacted in California's Mojave Desert. The U.S. military was quickly able to isolate the impact site, and a top scientific team was dispatched to the zone to examine the meteor. Over the next two decades, an underground research facility was built to examine the extra-terrestrial origins and the bizarre effects that the meteor is having on the natural environment and the people who come in contact with it.
