We're looking for a few enthusiastic gamers and good writers to join our staff. First, take a look here and see what we're about. If it piques your interest, read on
There are currently three types of writers we need and each has different responsibilities:
PC Game Reviewers (Specifically casual games but ANY PC games!) - Have an older system that just doesn't run the hottest games? Or do you like the easy to learn and impossible to leave games? We'd like to start covering more of these wonderful games and let people know about them. If you've got the itch and just can't stop the impulse, send two completed reviews of your favorite browser/flash games, of at least 400 words or more to I Want to Talk about the Cool Games! and be patient! Ophelea will get back to you within a week (I'm out of town and my laptop is at the shop but I'll still find you!)
General Reviewers - We can never have enough general reviewers. As our site mandate is to review a game as often as possible from differing point of views we want to have different types of players. We will and do provide as many games to you, the reviewer as we can. However, as more often than not we receive only a single copy of a game or it may be in a platform you cannot cover our expectation is that you will supplement your reviews with your own rentals and purchases. Any games sent to you that you do review are yours to keep. Right now we are shortest on people who enjoy PC games, Fighting Games, Sports titles on ANY platform, PSP Games, Anime-based Games (both traditional anime and also Digimon, Pokemon, etc), PS3 Owners, and people who can review games with their children. But again, we need reviewers of all shapes, colors and sizes! To apply, send two completed reviews of your favorite games, any platform of at least 800 words or more to I Want to Be a Game Reviewer and be patient! You'll here from myself within a week (I get a lot of email). A big Thank You!
Bloggers - Our blogs are the most popular portion of our site and again, we encourage players of differing opinions and styles. As a blogger it is your responsibility to write about your experiences in game no less than seven times per month. This can be as little as two paragraphs or as much as 2 pages - the amount depends upon your experiences. We will take writers for any game but are especially short for the following games:
City of Heroes/Villains
Dark Age of Camelot
Dungeons & Dragons Online
Eve Online
Everquest
Everquest II
Guild Wars
Lord of the Rings Online
Pirates of the Burning Sea
Pirates of the Caribbean Online
World of Warcraft
Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates!
And we can start blogs for any other games for which there is an interest. Also, should a blog show consistency, there are times when we are able to obtain time cards and comped accounts - no promises, but it's been known to happen. *grins* If you want to blog, just click here and let Hengist know that you want to blog. Don't forget to tell her what game!! It's rather important. I'm looking forwarding to reading about it (and yes, I do read them!)
