XSEED Games announced the arrival of Ys Seven, the first title in the Ys series of action RPG games to be created exclusively for the PSP. Ys Seven has shipped to retailers across North America and is also available for purchase as a digital download from PSN.
Ys Seven marks the first new Ys game to be released in North America in over four years, and is designed to take full advantage of the PSP's hardware. Ys Seven features an action-based real-time battle system where players can swap between any of the three-member battle party on the fly and engage enemies in a richly detailed 3D environment with fast load times. Ys Seven includes nine playable characters, each with their own fighting style, special abilities and variety of unique weapons. Four difficulty levels allow players of all backgrounds to experience the exciting action in fully rendered widescreen 3D environments. The game spans the tale of “Five Great Dragons” who must be awakened by two wandering adventurers, Adol and Dogi, and their newfound allies in order to save a war-torn kingdom from destruction by long-forgotten ancient forces.
Ys Seven has a suggested retail price of $29.99 on both UMD and as a digital download from PSN and is rated "T" for Teen. In addition to the standard edition, a Limited Collector’s Edition of Ys Seven that includes a soundtrack CD, 60-page art book, and a large cloth map highlighting the expansive world of the series is available for the suggested retail price of $49.99 through Amazon.com, GameStop, and other fine retailers.
