Halo games make me dizzy, to the point where sometimes I actually want to throw up. I've only played Halo and Halo 2 multiplayer, since there was no way I was going to go through an entire campaign. Although now that Halo 3 is out, it's prettier, it's smoother, I was thinking of actually giving the campaign mode a try. I had played the beta and it was fun, so I figure this was my chance to jump on the Halo bandwagon.
But I also wanted to review Halo 3, and I felt that if I did, I should probably play Halo and Halo 2 first. This was Friday, I figured if I played all weekend, I might actually be able to get through at least one of them.

So Friday we loaded up the original Halo and got to work. I've been busy playing Eternal Sonata lately, so the difference in colour and graphics was huge... about 45 minutes later, my husband and I both had headaches and we really couldn't move on. My husband is fairly good at shooters, but he's a PC gamer. He never liked console shooters. We decided to give Halo 3 a shot, frankly, I can always look up the storyline of Halo.
We boot up Halo 3, looking nice... then we get the dreaded disc unreadable error. Go clean your disc. Ok, fine, we take it out. Hmm... looks clean. Wiped it with soft cloth like they say. Put it back in. There were a couple of times where the game didn't even load.... weird. It finally loads, and after the cut scene we get the error again.
The game's a dud. Now I'm bummed because I had a friend who was going to come over and play tomorrow. I got my copy through a friend at Microsoft, so I'm going to have to wait until they announce something about this problem because I am not sending it back and forth.
